Kate Middleton named best-dressed woman Kate Middleton, the girlfriend of Prince William, has been named one of the best-dressed women in the world.

The 25-year-old, who works as an accessories buyer for fashion chain Jigsaw, was voted into eighth place in society magazine Tatler's list of style icons, her first time in the list.

However, one fellow royal who did not appear in the rankings at all was the prince's stepmother, the Duchess of Cornwall. Camilla last year was rated in tenth place, praised for her total transformation into a "new royal fashion icon".

Another Kate, supermodel Kate Moss, topped the list as the best-dressed person, while her former partner and father of her daughter Lila Grace, fashion editor Jefferson Hack, came joint second with his fiancee Anouck Lepere.

In fourth place was actress Sienna Miller, while fashion stylist and wife of Jarvis Cocker Camille Bidault-Waddington was placed fifth. Other well-known names in the top ten included former model Yasmin Le Bon and Razorlight's Johnny Borrell.

This is not the first time in recent weeks that Kate Middleton has won praise for her sense of style, after being voted the UK's top natural beauty in a poll by Fox's Biscuits.

"Kate Middleton is a true natural beauty whether in designer or high street wear," Fox's spokeswoman Francesca Davies commented.
